As healthcare networks grow, strong leadership and effective management become essential. The best leaders build trust, resolve conflicts, and align teams with common goals. However, mergers often lead to staff turnover, exacerbating the existing shortage of healthcare professionals. This makes it challenging to maintain efficient operations and high-quality patient care. In this month’s blog, we explore why smart hiring matters when tackling the wave of healthcare mergers.
Chapel Hill Solutions assures that your organization and team will be strategically set up for success today and in the future. Stay on top of the latest Talent Acquisition news & trends with our Higher Education, Life Sciences, and Hospitals blog
Tackling the Wave of Healthcare Mergers: Why Smart Hiring Matters
Over the last 20 years, the healthcare world has seen a lot of mergers and partnerships. This means many hospitals and healthcare groups are joining forces, making the industry more complex. From 2004 to 2011, there was a 25% increase in these types of mergers, and by 2013, 60% of hospitals were part of larger systems. In 2023 alone, there were 65 new mergers, showing that this trend isn’t slowing down.
